UI/UX Mobile App
Longevity is a guidebook turned mobile app for Asian noodle soups restaurants of San Diego. Users can experience a myriad of options such as restaurant information and reviews, recipes by other users, and a community page "melting pot" where people can post their own noodle soups and comment.
Task
Create a prototype app in Figma based on an existing guidebook of choice. Keep in mind how a physical book can translate into the digital world, as well as how new items can be introduced to the digital format. Test the prototype with a diverse range of users, including other graphic designers as well as the target demographic.

Solution
Using effective typographic elements, grid, hierarchy, aesthetics, and imagery are key in creating a simple and clean layout that is legible and inviting. I did extensive research using apps like Yelp, Google Maps, Instagram, and Tasty. I also used hand drawn illustrations and similar colors to help keep the feel of the guidebook in the mobile app.
Result
The Longevity mobile app is perfect for casual Asian noodle enthusiasts. You can log in with your own account, review restaurants in the San Diego area, and even make your own noodle dish. The format is clean and easy to navigate after going through several rounds of revisions with different users.
